I bet you didn't know your wedding photographer does all these things for you!
I love it when a couple is ready to go on Detroit adventures with me! Detroit is home to some of the most beautiful architecture, hole in the wall restaurants and urban art. Now I must say that these photos are some of my favorites and you would never know that the day off was a shuffled mess! It all began when I decided to switch my camera gear into a new bag that was easier to carry around in the city... NOTHING was in my camera bag that I needed, I don't know what on earth I was thinking but I shot this session with one SD card and one bar of battery left on my camera WHEW! Photographing with limited power really forced me to get the most variety with my photos, and to make each shot count; which was really like shooting with film and I loved it! It has been a long time since I have used a film camera but it may just inspire me to dig my old friend out once again.
Jordynn and Jayson are getting married at the end of May and I am so excited for their wedding! Stay tuned for more of this contagious smile.
Huge thanks to Townhouse Detroit for letting us take photos in your exquisite venue and to the lovely American man who paid for our drinks just because he loves Canadians!
I don't think I have ever smiled and laughed so much while photographing a wedding. The Bride, Groom, Bridal Party and Family were all fantastic people and made my job so easy! Let's take a minute to appreciate the cuteness of the little ring bearer, I mean honestly... those suspenders make me wanna squeeze him!
We drove halfway around the world... (okay maybe not quite; but all over the county for sure!) to capture these photographs, it was fantastic! We had four hours to take photos before the reception so that allowed us to go to a whole bunch of locations that meant a lot to the Bride and Groom. We were taking photos at a close family friends Orchard, and then we went to the Dog Kennel where their pup; Finley, was staying for the wedding weekend on her own little vacation.
It's not very often that I share an entire wedding album with the world wide web, but I could not choose which photos I liked so I thought to myself.... "NO! I am not choosing!" So take a little peek at the full gallery (posted below) before it expires on April 4th
I had no choice in the matter, these images basically jumped off my SD card and Imported themselves! Next thing you know.... I am about half way done editing the session and I am so EXCITED!
Introducing Victoria and Jordan! I am so so so absolutely thrilled to have them as wedding clients for 2018! These two had me laughing through the entire photoshoot! FOR REAL my cheeks hurt from all the smiling! There were a lot of "kisses from a rose", smolders, puns and all around fantastic moments!
And if you think that I am excited now... just wait until you find out what their wedding theme is! I absolutely worshiped it as a little girl... and I am pretty sure that if you found my scrapbook wedding I planned when I was 6....this would be it! I left a few clues in the photos below... Maybe you can GUESS what their wedding theme is?!
Who will be the one to guess it? ...Well, Who Indeed......
